oh my god this is me. i was addicted to designer amphetamines and completely delusional at the time of writing this. i had lost forty pounds and thought i was hot shit. i thought i was the reincarnation of Kurt Vonnegut. this was serious, and my friends laughed when they saw this go viral on twitter. it made me realize i had issues and im sober now. im also shocked i managed to stay employed at that time. To answer your question: im from LA but I grew up all around. I was living between Baltimore and NYC at the time. My mom is a beautiful Italian woman (Milan by way of Bolzano) and my dad is an insufferable Mexican from Montreal.
this is the most viscerally effective anti-drug PSA i've ever seen, not least because i think it's plausibly true, unlike the ones i normally see

I had a realization.
The fact that the Snagem Hideout in XD is still dilapidated and looks the same as in the first game implies that Wes just keeps going back and blowing it up every few months or so.

Something that I think should be an important part of solarpunk aesthetics is screws.
Look at your smartphone. No screws. You've got to have specialized tools to get inside your phone to repair something. There are certain pieces of tech that are glued in place and glue can't be undone without permanently breaking the bond.
But screws!
You can take apart a broken old radio, repair what's broken, and, if you were careful in taking it apart, you can put it back together and have a fully functioning radio and all you need is a common screwdriver!
It's hard to build screws and other mechanical fasteners because it requires more planning than clamps and glues, but isn't that what solarpunk is all about‽ It's about care and sustainability and and a radio or a computer built carefully with repair in mind is a sustainable computer that stays out of landfills and in use.
Seriously though, modern fandom, y’all need to remember that you can, like, ship multiple ships.
Like I can ship two ships that are diametrically opposed, at the same time, because I like both ideas. You don’t have to choose one or the other.
Like I can ship, for example, Sam/Frodo, and also Sam/Rosie, both AT THE SAME TIME. I don’t have to pick ONE couple and denounce all others, and tell everyone else that their ships are WRONG and BAD and mine is the only TRUE AND CORRECT ship.
Related: You don’t have to sink other ships to sail yours.
Exactly! You can have more than one ship. You can have an ARMADA!!!

Hey Neil! Quick question..
Do you think we'll see custom playlist for Gabriel and/or Beelzebub?
Thank you so much if you answer, bye Neil!

I don’t know. They are being made by Amazon Prime Video’s marketing department.
Damn I thought you made them yourself
No, I can't. I'm on strike.
Gazillionaires on strike while homeless people line the streets is cringe AF to me. Don't mind me, just passing through.
I'm a bestselling author on strike as a film and TV writer because people who are writing shows you love get to work for a few weeks a year under the current systems and are doing door dash or driving Ubers to survive.
I'm a bestselling author on strike as a SAG-AFTRA performer because 13% of working actors are hitting the $26,000 level they need to get healthy insurance.
I'm on strike to help because it means something if I'm on strike, it gets the word out and it matters. I'm on strike because it helps raise everyone else up.
It's not blase. It's frustrating and upsetting as hell to have stuff I made stop being made, for stuff I care about be out there and me unable to help it.
I'm not sure if you are arguing for the successful writers and actors to strikebreak, or if you just think that the people who make the things that entertain you and sometimes make life worth living do not deserve homes and food and families and the respect that comes from a day's work for a day's pay. Either way, I'm proud to be on strike.
found this informative, about how studios are going to attempt to use influencers (particularly small ones) to try to cross pickets by paying a lot for movie promos, and that SAG-AFTRA likely will not let you in if you do this. my suspicion is they're hoping people won't understand the implications so wanted to spread the word!!
Very important note here, yes.
PROMOTION is part of an actor's job. And it's one of the things they're not allowed to do on strike.
SAG Actors are not allowed to do promotions at ComicCon this year. They can attend, as long as they don't:
- Participate in specific-show promotions (e.g. "five years later - actors of X series")
- Talk about their current work
- Talk about upcoming work
They are encouraged not to attend at all, in part because those are complex issues and it's easy to trip on them.
TikTok and YouTube INFLUENCERS are likely to be contacted by studios and told, "how would you like to make a LOT of money, talking about this show?"
...Do not take the poisoned bait.
That counts as crossing the picket line, and would result in:
- Being banned from SAG-AFTRA membership for life, and
- Possibly being blocked from other union jobs if they find out that you scabbed during a strike.
